Caring for your candle
A few quiet rituals keep every Shamaa candle burning clean and even.

Trim the wick
Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn.

The first burn
Let the wax melt to the edges on the first burn.

Burn time
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time.

Stay safe
Keep away from drafts, children and flammable objects.

Enjoy the moment
More than a candle, a moment of stillness.
After the last burn
A vessel to keep.
Stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains. Once cool, pour in warm water, lift out the wax and wash the vessel. The kohl ceramic and walnut lid make a lovely home for matches, jewellery or a small plant.
